Knives UK 2008 - Knife Show link

The UK's Premier Knife Show - Sunday 18th May 2008

This is a fantastic annual knife show and will be even bigger than the successful 2007 show. Loads of quality, hand-crafted knives will be on show and for sale along with plenty of other related items. You'll be able to buy blade steel, handle materials and other kit to make your own, plus lots of inspiring items to look at. For all you bushcrafters out there, this is definitely a show for you too.

The meeting and info point for UK Knife Throwers

John has finished some changes to the knife throwing range and there are now three ranges and a seating area. Check out the photos >>

John is going to be appearing in the January Edition of Maxim magazine, due out on 24 Jan 08.

Please note that the throwing knives we use do not have sharp edges. All they have is a point. This allows us to throw them from either the handle or the blade without risk of injury. Actually, the term knife isn't strictly accurate at is suggests that they do have edges. The throwing of sharp knives has more a military or hunting application; we are interested only in the sporting aspects of knife throwing - for fun and competition. The techniques described here are for recreational purposes only. Please read our safety section for guidelines on safe throwing.

I am the webmaster so if you feel something is missing just let .

Portrait of John Taylor

John and I have teamed up to bring you this content, though I must confess that my input is largely restricted to the role of webmaster for now.

John has recently made a trip out to the Alamo and opened the throwing tournament by throwing the first knife! He was also given a very large custom bowie knife as a thank you. What a treat!

For news on John's previous trip check out his trip to Texas, USA and why the experience was such an eye-opener. He's also appeared in an episode of HEARTBEAT. Who knows what is next on the cards. John has a trip to Texas planned later in the year so we'll be putting some news up on that nearer the time.

If you are interested in forming a club or getting involved, then John is your man . If you already have a club and want to appear on the site, please let me know. Feel free to email pics of knives that you have made or sell. Also check out our Guestbook.

You might also want to check out The Great Throwzini site. Do yourself a favour and subscribe to their newsletter, it's free and well worth the regular info. 101 Tips is well worth it.
