Troubleshooting your throwing
Right, so you've thrown some blades. If you throw them the same each time you may notice that they are not sticking but they are consistently not quite right. That's good news! Make sure you throw a few knives at one distance to get a general feel for what the blades are doing as an average.
Hitting handle first
If your knives are hitting the target handle first, then move back a pace. Throw some more knives, consistently, and watch to see how they are landing. The key here is to find your correct distance from the target.

Sticking with point up / handle down
If the blades are sticking with point up then there isn't enough time for them to straighten out before they meet the target. Move your feet back away from the target about 2 - 3" and try again.
It's a small amount but it does make a difference. |

Sticking with point down / handle up
If the blade sticks with the point down then the blade has had too much time to rotate before it meets the target. Move your feet 2 - 3" closer to the target and try again. |
